What Makes Valas Different
Most marble sells on evenness. Valas sells on the opposite. The mottling and quartz mean no two pieces look alike, and a laid area has real depth to it rather than a repeating pattern. If you have found other pale stones a bit flat, this is the one to sample. If you want quiet and uniform, look at Monaco instead; the two are often cross-shopped.

Tumbled and Antique
The finish softens the edges and knocks the shine off, so the surface reads as worn stone rather than polished marble. That suits the mottled colour, and it gives more grip underfoot than a honed face. Around pools and on paths it works well wet.
Thickness and Laying
Use the 30mm on compacted road base with bedding sand, or on a slab where vehicles cross. The 20mm is an on-slab format for terraces and covered areas with adhesive; that thickness is also covered on the Valas tiles page with the interior detail. Being marble, it etches with acid, so seal it and keep wine and citrus wiped up.
