Oyster Gold stackstone panels, natural split face, in 600x150mm flat panels and 450+150x150mm corner returns. Panel thickness runs 10 to 25mm across the face, which is what gives stacked stone its shadow line. The stone is quartzite, sold by the square metre for flats and by the linear metre for corners.
The Colour
Oyster Gold is a warm mix. Honey and buff run through it with grey and a little rust, and because each panel is made up of split strips, a wall lays up with real variation rather than one flat tone. It is the warmest stackstone we carry, and it works where a grey panel would make a space feel cold: north-facing courtyards, entry pillars, fireplaces and pool walls that pick up warm light.
Flats and Corners
The corner pieces are the part people forget to order. A 450+150mm corner is a single L-shaped piece that wraps an external angle so you never see a mitred joint or a cut edge on the return. Measure your external corners in linear metres and order those separately from the flat panel area. Getting this wrong at the ordering stage is the most common problem we see on cladding jobs.
Crates are 37.5sqm for flats and 32.4 linear metres for corners. Allow around 10 percent extra on the flat area.
Fixing
Stackstone goes onto a solid, load-bearing substrate: rendered blockwork, concrete, or fibre cement sheet fixed to frame. It is fixed with a flexible cement-based adhesive, and on external walls above about a metre most installers add mechanical fixing as well. Quartzite is dense and does not need sealing for durability, though a sealer on a fireplace or a splashback makes cleaning easier.
The Rest of the Range
Cooler alternatives are Arctic White and the grey panels in the stackstone range. If you want a chunkier, more three-dimensional profile, the ledge stone and free form walling pages cover that. The full wall cladding section lays out the options side by side.
We import direct into Keysborough, Melbourne, with freight arranged Australia wide. Samples are free, and with a multi-tone stone like this a single panel in your hand tells you more than any photograph will.
