Silver Grey granite in an exfoliated finish, in 20mm tiles and 30mm pavers. Sizes run 400×400, 600×400 and 600x600mm in tiles, and 400×400, 600×300, 600×400 and 800x400mm in pavers. The stone is a light salt-and-pepper grey, paler than most grey granites on the market, which is what people are usually after when they search for light grey granite pavers rather than charcoal.
Exfoliated means the face has been flame-treated: heat pops the surface crystals and leaves a fine open texture. It is the standard outdoor finish for granite because it grips when wet, and it also dulls the slight sparkle a polished granite has, so the finished area looks matte and modern rather than shiny.
Where It Goes
Grey granite is the default for driveways and entries because it is hard, does not need sealing, and hides tyre marks. At 30mm on a concrete base it takes vehicle traffic without complaint. Around pools it is a safer heat choice than black granite while still giving you a cool-toned surface, though a pale limestone will always run cooler again.
Indoors the 20mm tiles suit entries, laundries and garages. Plenty of customers run 20mm inside and 30mm out in the same size to get a continuous line across the threshold.
Matching and Alternatives
