Premium Classic travertine, unfilled and tumbled. Tiles are 12mm and pavers 30mm, in 406×406, 610×406 and 610x610mm, plus French Pattern sets in both thicknesses. The colour is a mid beige with the soft banding travertine is known for, warmer than Silver travertine and less yellow than Ivory.
Unfilled means the natural holes in the stone are left open rather than being factory-filled with resin. Outside, that is what you want. The pores drain and grip, which is why unfilled tumbled travertine has been the default pool surround stone in Australia for twenty years. Grout takes up part of the texture at install and the rest stays as surface character. Indoors, most installers grout-fill the face flush so the floor cleans easily.
Tiles Indoors, Pavers Outdoors
The 12mm tiles are for interior floors: living areas, hallways, bathrooms. The 30mm pavers handle outdoor traffic and thermal movement. Since both come off the same material, an indoor floor can run straight out to an alfresco with only a thickness change hidden at the sill. It is the main reason people buy the two together.
French Pattern is a repeating four-size set that lays as a module. It suits courtyards and larger patios where a plain grid would look flat. There is more detail on the French pattern page.
Buying From an Importer
We import Classic travertine ourselves and hold it in Keysborough, Melbourne. There is no wholesaler step in the price, and crate rates are available for builders and landscapers ordering across several jobs. Crates run from about 10.88sqm up to 39.65sqm depending on size and thickness. NSW, Queensland and South Australian orders travel on regular freight runs out of the warehouse; timing gets quoted when you order.
Matching bullnose pool copings, treads and Classic travertine cobbles are all available in the same stone, so a pool, its steps and the driveway border can be one colour. The full travertine range covers the silver and ivory tones if Classic reads too warm.
Free samples. Travertine in particular is worth handling before you buy, since the banding and pore size vary batch to batch and a photograph flattens both.
