Patio Pave Concrete Pavers

Patio Pave is the entry price in our concrete paving range and the most flexible to lay. At 390x190x40mm it is a true two to one rectangle, which is what lets it go down in patterns that a square paver cannot do.

Laying Patterns

The two to one proportion opens up stretcher bond, 90 degree herringbone, 45 degree herringbone and basketweave. Herringbone interlocks better than a running bond and resists creep under traffic, so it is the usual pick for a path that gets walked hard. Basketweave gives a more traditional look and is faster to set out because it works off a square module. Stretcher bond is the quickest of the lot and the easiest to keep straight over a long run.

Four Colours

Charcoal is the dark grey, Sandune the soft pale beige, Sahara a warmer yellow toned buff, and Clinker Red the fired red brick tone. Clinker Red is the one people choose to match an existing red brick house, which is the common situation in older Melbourne suburbs. Order a sample before you commit if you are matching brickwork, because photographs on a screen do not settle a colour match.

Coverage

Patio Pave runs 13.5 pavers to the square metre and 216 to a pallet, so a full pallet covers 16 square metres. Herringbone at 45 degrees produces more cuts around the perimeter than a straight bond does, so allow around 10 per cent extra if that is the pattern rather than the usual 5.

What It Is Not For

At 40mm this is a pedestrian paver for patios, paths and courtyards. Do not put it under a car. For a surface carrying vehicles, use a product rated for it from our driveway pavers range, or ask us and we will tell you what suits the base you have.
