Tiger Skin ledgestone, natural split, 600x200mm pieces at 20 to 35mm thick, in walling and corner formats. The name is not marketing: golden yellow and near-black run through each piece in bands, and a finished wall genuinely stripes.
The Statement Ledgestone
We carry three ledgestones and they cover three temperaments. Tiger Skin is the loud one. Rustic Mica is warm but calmer, ambers and browns with a mica shimmer. Alpine Blue is the cool one, dark grey with aged yellow. If the wall is meant to be the first thing people notice, an entry pillar, a feature wall behind a TV, the back of an outdoor kitchen, Tiger Skin is the pick. If the wall is meant to support the room rather than star in it, look at the other two.
Colour intensity varies piece to piece, which is the point. Blend from multiple crates as you fix, and dry-lay a couple of square metres first so the striping distributes rather than clumping.
Format and Fixing
The 600x200mm strip format stacks into tight horizontal coursing with fine joints; it is a strip-stone system rather than random rubble, so the drama comes from the colour, not the layout. Fix to solid substrate, rendered blockwork, concrete or fibre cement over frame, with a flexible cement-based adhesive, and add mechanical fixing on external walls above about a metre. Walling covers 17.28sqm per crate.
Order Corners in Linear Metres
Corner pieces wrap external corners so the wall looks solid rather than veneered, and they are sold by the linear metre, not the square metre. Measure every external corner top to bottom, order that many lineal metres alongside the flats, and you will not be caught short; under-ordering corners is the most common cladding mistake we see.
