Alpine Blue ledgestone, natural split, 600x200mm strips at 20 to 35mm, in walling and corner formats. Dark grey with a blue cast and streaks of aged yellow through it, like stone that has weathered on a hillside.
The Cool One
Alpine Blue is the greyscale option in our ledgestone range, and the one that suits contemporary builds: white or grey render, black window frames, concrete, steel. The aged yellow streaks stop it reading flat, which is the usual failure of plain grey cladding. Against greenery it is particularly good; grey-blue stone makes planting look greener.
For warmer palettes the other two ledgestones are Rustic Mica, amber-brown with a mica glint, and Tiger Skin, gold striped with black. All three share the same format, so the choice is purely colour.
Walls It Suits
Garden facades, front fences and letterbox pillars, retaining wall faces, blade walls by pools, fireplace surrounds inside. The strip format courses horizontally with fine joints, so it reads architectural rather than rustic. It has a strong following in Sydney builds especially, and crates go up the Hume on our regular Sydney freight runs.
Fixing, Corners, Coverage
Fix to a solid substrate with flexible cement-based adhesive, mechanical fixing added above about a metre externally. Walling covers 17.28sqm per crate. External corners use purpose-made corner pieces sold by the linear metre, not the square metre; measure the height of every external corner, total it, and put that many lineal metres of corners on the order. Corners are the piece people forget, and the wall cannot finish without them.
