Juprana or Juparana
Both spellings are in circulation. The stone is more commonly written Juparana internationally, and Austral Juparana is a related Australian trade name for a similar granite. Same material, and searches for either spelling end up here.
What the Stone Looks Like
Juprana is a heavily figured granite. Warm browns and greys move through it in broad swirls rather than the even speckle you get in a Sesame or Ocean Grey. On a large floor that movement is the whole appeal, though it does mean a small bathroom can feel busy. Lay a few tiles out dry before you commit to the layout, because the pattern repeats differently depending on how the pieces are oriented.
Exfoliated Indoors
The exfoliated finish is flame-treated, which opens the surface into a fine texture. It is standard for outdoor granite and it grips well, but indoors it is a deliberate choice rather than the default. Use it where water is likely, in a laundry, an entry or a bathroom floor, and expect it to hold dirt more than a honed tile would. For a smooth interior floor, a honed granite is the better pick.
Granite does not need sealing for durability. A sealer on an interior floor mainly makes cleaning easier.
