Juprana granite pavers, exfoliated finish, 600x400mm in 20mm and 30mm. The stone is a warm-toned granite, cream and pink-grey with rippling darker mineral bands, and it is one of the few pale granites that reads warm rather than cold.
Juprana, Juparana, Austral Juparana
All the same family of stone. The name is spelled both ways in Australia, and Austral Juparana is a related trade name you may have seen on other sites. If you are matching existing paving that was sold under any of these names, order a free sample first. Batches vary in how strong the pink band runs, and a sample settles it in a way a photo cannot.
Why Exfoliated
Exfoliation flame-textures the granite face, leaving a fine, even roughness. It is the standard finish for granite you walk on when wet, because polished and honed granite are slippery around water. The texture is in the stone, will not wear off, and gives the surface a soft matte look that hides dust between washes.
20mm or 30mm
The 20mm goes on a concrete slab with a flexible adhesive, which is the usual method for terraces and pool surrounds on new builds. The 30mm can also be laid on compacted road base with bedding sand for garden paths and patios. Either way, granite is about as hard-wearing as paving gets; it does not etch like marble and barely marks.
