Honey Jesper granite in an exfoliated finish, 20mm tiles and 30mm pavers, in sizes from 400x400mm through to 800x400mm. Also sold as Honey Jasper; both spellings refer to this stone.
A Warm Granite
Most granite paving is grey or black. Honey Jesper is the warm one: a golden base with brown and grey flecking through it, closer in tone to a sandstone than to the rest of the granite range. That matters if the house is warm brick or timber, where a cool grey paver can look grafted on.
What you get in exchange for the warmth is granite’s durability. It does not scratch like limestone, it does not need sealing, and it will not fade in UV. For a warm-toned paved area that has to take real traffic, it is a better long-term surface than a sandstone in the same colour family.
Sizes and Where They Go
The 30mm pavers cover 400×400, 600×400 and 800x400mm. The 800×400 is the one to look at for a modern paved terrace, where fewer joints make a small area read larger. On a driveway the smaller formats are more forgiving of a base that is not perfectly flat.
The 20mm tiles run 400×400, 600×400 and 600x600mm and are the indoor format. A separate Honey Jesper tiles listing covers that side in more detail.
Exfoliated Finish
Flame treatment opens the surface into a fine texture, which is what makes granite safe to walk on wet. It is the standard finish for exterior granite and the reason this stone works around pools as well as on driveways. On a mid-toned stone like Honey Jesper the heat issue that affects black granite is much reduced, though it will still be warmer underfoot than a pale limestone at midday.
