Esplanade Concrete Pavers

Esplanade is the largest format in our concrete paving range at 400x400x42mm. The square shape and the 42mm thickness make it a straightforward pedestrian paver for patios, courtyards and paths around the house.

How Many Pavers You Need

Esplanade covers at 6.25 pavers per square metre. A full pallet holds 108 pavers, which is 17.28 square metres. Measure the area, add around 5 per cent for cuts on a square job and closer to 10 per cent if the area has curves or angles in it, then order to the nearest pallet where you can. Part pallets are available.

Charcoal or Sand

Charcoal is the darker of the two and holds more heat underfoot in full sun, so it reads better on a shaded courtyard or against a rendered wall. Sand is the paler option and stays cooler, which suits open patios and anywhere people walk barefoot. Concrete colour is batched, so order the whole job at once and lay from several pallets at a time to spread any batch variation across the area rather than leaving it in one block.

Where Esplanade Suits

This is a pedestrian paver. It is made for patios, courtyards, alfresco areas and garden paths. It is not a driveway paver, so if the surface has to carry vehicles look at our driveway pavers instead, which are specified for that load.

Concrete or Natural Stone

Concrete gives you one colour, one size and a flat price per square metre, so a job is quick to quote and quick to set out. Quarried stone gives you variation through the batch that concrete cannot reproduce, and it costs more. Both are worth looking at.
