A driveway is the hardest life a paver can live: point loads from turning tyres, oil drips, sun and daily use. Two specs decide whether paving survives it, the stone and the base. The stone needs to be dense, 30mm thick, and honestly rated for vehicles; the base needs to be a reinforced concrete slab, because stone bedded on road base creeps under turning wheels no matter how well it was compacted.

Do I Need 50mm or 60mm Pavers?
Only if you are laying on sand over road base, interlock-style, which is how concrete driveway pavers are usually done. Natural stone driveways in Australia are built the other way: 30mm stone bonded to a reinforced concrete slab with a flexible adhesive. The slab carries the load, so the extra stone thickness buys nothing except cost and lifting weight. Dark Driveways and Tyre Shine
