Cream, Between White and Beige
Cream pavers solve a specific problem: white can glare in full Australian sun, and beige can disappear against brick. Cream holds the light without the glare. It is the colour that photographs best around pools, and it pairs with practically every render tone going.
Most cream stone is limestone or filled travertine, both of which take a tumbled finish well, so cream also dominates the antique and French Pattern end of the range.
Keeping Pale Stone Pale
Seal cream stone after laying, full stop. Sealed, it wipes clean of leaf tannin, red dust and barbecue splatter; unsealed, pale stone stains and you will resent it. Use pH-neutral cleaners, and rinse pool chemicals off rather than letting them dry on the surface. Done once properly, this is minutes a season, and the stone stays the colour you bought.
